I thought Gerry T. that in 1965 you were on the Adamant in Guzz trooping me once a week, not on the Maidstone having runs ashore with baby greenies!!? Added: August 4, 2009 |

Replying to Dave Crowsin: You're right - a lot of water has been passed since MAIDSTONE. The last time I checked I was still alive and kicking down here in Somerset - mind you, at my age you don't check too often!! Now fully retired and writing to help out the pension. Really nice to hear from someone who served in MAIDSTONE. Happy Days! If you have time drp an e-mail at the above REgards: GT. Added: July 31, 2009 |

A lot has changed since going ashore from HMS Maidstone in 1965 I addressed LPM Toghill as "Hooky". I was only a 16 year old junior REM 2nd class. He, of course, advised me of the error of my ways. Later he kept me out of trouble ashore in Gib.I often wonder where he is now. Very informative pages, thanks. Dave C Added: July 28, 2009 |

Very shocked and sad to learn of the passing of Vic. He was certainly one of the finest Regulating Officers I came in contact with. May God bless him and my condolences to his family. Added: July 20, 2009 |
