Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,

But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.

Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;

For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crossed the bar.

Does anyone know the whereabouts of the other Scouser, Mr Chow?

George Mullen bullied me into joining the association during our regular contacts at Portsmouth Crown Court (no, I've not been nicked - I'm CPS now) and I'm glad that he did. Just scanned the guestbook and it brought back lots of memories (the beatings, the bollockings, the red underlining etc.) I am looking forward immensely to the reunion. I will be in disguise as a wrinkly fat bloke with a small goatee. Hope to see many old friends there.

I do remember Willie Dick, but that is all, my mum is not aware that I am doing this, as it is mainly for her, so I can complete a sc*** book of his life for her. I would be more than gratefull if I could chat with him again as we even joined the RN in March 1953.
