He retired as WO.MAA and moved to USA where he works in (I think) a prison as a 'storeman' of prisoners effects. E-mail: bob27anson@hotmail.com		 It was very moving to see a snap of Alan Shields in his younger days. I was his No2 at Gannet (81-82) and I never worked for a fairer man. He was the only RN Casualty in N Ireland. Years after I went for a bus driver's job and it was Alan's Sister. Small world. Would love to share a beer with so many of the great characters who put up with me all those years ago. You never know.
