It was a pleasure to receive the photo of MAA Loader in his frock coat it has a special place on our Gallery as a historical record

The last Jaunty in the mob to wear a frock coat was actually Pete Swann our moderator!

However My father in law was a Master at arms, one Frederick Loader, served on achilles at the Battle of the River Plate and was mentioned in despatches. He was invalided out and died very young, in the mid fifties.

I always thought it a plus that we had served in the RN prior to changing branches. Would our erstwhile advisor prefer direct entry? ?
