Peter Chatfield - PJM Award

On Tuesday 6th November 2007, at the Weymouth Pavilion in Weymouth,. Dorset, England, 360 British Veterans, including RBA member Peter Chatfield, received the Pingat Jasa Malaysia Medal from the Malaysian Government, commemorating their part in winning the bitter jungle campaign in the 1950’s and 1960’s.

The investiture was carried out by Colonel Tajri ALWI, in a very moving ceremony. In his speech he thanked us all for the part we played and he will forever be indebted to us.
